This one was filled with people that were very despicable and honestly they all made good candidates for being the "bad guy. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. As always there is a good balance between the personal life of the main characters and the crimes they are investigating… I really enjoyed this book and look forward avidly to the next one. Several cases of suicide in a nearby neighborhood soon spell that a serial killer is on the loose and as the team scrambles to get answers, a little girl goes missing. His instincts to help Alicia and protect her come from his heart of gold, even if he is a bit moody about it.

There are always the cases Lottie and her team deal with on a regular basis, but the growing pains Lottie and her children, as well as her relationship with her mother, is always a pivotal part of each story.Over this series, readers have come to know Lottie, her children, Boyd and even Lottie's unlikable boss.
