About this deal

Die von mir verwendeten Erhaltungsstufen (für die Platte) folgen den internationalen Normen und Abkürzungen. Each is based on the classic children's TV series (first aired in 1971, if you want to suddenly feel incredibly old).

The thing I most love about Mr Benn though, is the sense of childhood innocence they portray through their eponymous hero. In 2001 Mr Benn's Little Book of Life was published by Tess Read, which explores the lessons of Mr Benn's adventures. My two year old is a Mr Benn fan, and immediately got to work thumbing through the book and pointing out Mr Ben, the dragon, etc. Neon lights will be delivered in 2-4 weeks, as they are made in small batches and shipped separately from other items.Nostalgia can often colour one's views - it's all too easy to remember loving something, rather than actually loving it again in the cold light of day. Mr Benn helps the animals in the zoo to improve their accommodation by making the townsfolk see that the cages are too small. David McKee (1935 - 2022) was the creator of well-known characters including King Rollo, Mr Benn and Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, which is now published in more than 60 languages and has its own successful global merchandise programme. The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged.

Benn-Red Knight, copyright 1968, first American edition, hard cover, DUST JACKET, written and illustrated by David McKee. I think my favourite of the four is the one I have made our Book of the Month, featuring the hilariously named Smasher Lagru (who has a cameo in one of the later books as well). Mr Benn puts on a spacesuit and jets off to different amazing planets – one with jewels, one with no colour and one brightly coloured planet where everyone has to wear a hat! Eventually, out of thin air, a magician (who looks familiar) appears and makes objects disappear, concluding with Mr Benn who arrives back in the changing room. The first, Mr Benn Red Knight, was published in 1967, followed by three more; these became the basis for an animated television series of the same name originally transmitted by the BBC in 1971 and 1972.My 4 year old daughter just adores this book which we bought because she cried every time the library copy had to be taken back! With intricate artwork, the colour images have an almost 3D effect and the line art pen and ink drawings simply delightful. Be taken back into the wonderful whimsical world of Mr Benn and his charming adventures - dressed in his distinctive black suit and bowler hat, Mr Benn first leaves the ordinary world of 52 Festive Road 'where nothing remarkable ever happened' when he receives an invitation to a fancy dress party. Of his many beloved quirky characters, Elmer the Elephant and Mr Benn are possibly the most well-known.

When the race begins it becomes apparent that Baron Burtrum has sabotaged all the other balloons, including Mr Benn's, which he has tied to a drain pipe. Elmer the Patchwork Elephant is an elephant who stands out from the herd, and Elmer’s app is different too. This book is in good condition - bumping to corners of boards; some spotting, particularly on ffep and rfep.recto only, entitled 'Speech at the Bar' addressed to Mr Speaker by Anthony Wedgwood Benn in which he firstly says that 'he makes no apology for wishing to remain a Member of Parliament', secondly he expresses his thanks for 'the unfailing support of those who sent me to this place to represent them', and thirdly he states, 'Whatever Parliament may ultimately decide about it I am asking that the Stansgate peerage which was created for a special purpose, having now served that purpose, should be allowed to lapse completely and for all time Ð preserving no privileges for the future.
