This book is about the way your brain changes while you're a teenager and how these changes can account for behaviours such as risk-taking, difficulty going to sleep early and a tendency to react emotionally as opposed to rationally. It also has the added bonus that, despite us trying to delude ourselves that we, ourselves were perfect teens, never getting into trouble, never giving cheek, never taking risks or defying authority, we in fact were not and gave our own parents just as much anxiety as we are now feeling ourselves with our own teens! I only wish that this book had been around when dealing with my own teenager's antisocial behaviour.
