About this deal

There are no banknotes. The one downfall is since there are so many pieces, it takes a while to set up the board. Understanding the Spaces Included with the board are skill cards. Unlike the regular game of Monopoly, where you earn money when you pass Go, you receive a skill card. The skill card allows you to use an ability for the rest of the game. You can also head to Nook’s Cranny shop to buy different decorations. There are different mystery spaces that you can land on too. Unfortunately, there’s still jail in the game. I think most of us are familiar with Monopoly and the arguments that the original board game creates – and I will tell you that Animal Crossing Monopoly is not that game. This version of Monopoly has some of the basic concepts of the original Monopoly game – but plays very differently! As you go through this list, it’s a good idea to make notes. I’ll provide plenty of strategies and how-tos throughout this guide. My goal is to make sure that you know as much as possible about Animal Crossing Monopoly from this guide! How to Play

Includes: Gameboard, 4 x character pieces, 4 x Skill cards, 35 x Decoration cards, 14 x Chance cards, 14 x Nook Miles cards, 160 x Resource chips, 40 x Five-Bell coins, 54 x Bell coins, 40 x Player markers, 1 x numbered die, 1 x Nook's Cranny die, label sheet and game rules. In this Animal Crossing Edition Monopoly Game, kids and adults can enjoy island life and immerse themselves in the colorful and creative world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. After your first trip around the board, you choose a Skill card with an ability you can use throughout the game. Moving around the board with custom tokens inspired by the video game, you complete island tasks and meet other characters. Instead of buying properties and paying rent, you collect bugs, fish, fossils, and fruit. You can also stop at Nook's Cranny and cash in Bells to buy decorations. These decorations are worth Nook Miles, and the player with the most Nook Miles wins the game! Each time you land on/pass the GO space, you will get to shop at Nook’s Cranny. Before looking at the shop, you will take the action corresponding to the space that you landed on.They will also take the top Resource token from the pile corresponding to the space they landed on. The purple player discovered this island so they will get to take the top resource token from the pile. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. You will also receive Nook Miles if you land on those Nook Miles Spaces mentioned above and you draw a card that gives you an opportunity to perform a task to receive those miles. Animal Crossing has actually been around for years before the newest addition to the switch. Today, you can play Animal Crossing on various Nintendo devices. Bottom Line Up Front

So, why would my son really want the Animal Crossing Monopoly board game for his birthday? Mostly because his mom loves the game and has gotten those kids addicted to creating their Island and doing the things that you do while play Animal Crossing. This twist on classic Monopoly gameplay features artwork, characters, and themes inspired by Nintendo's Animal Crossing New Horizons While you could buy the Monopoly Cats or the Monopoly Dogs, why not buy this instead? I love how the entire game is based on a challenge between the two to make it exciting! Includes gameboard, 4 character tokens, 4 Skill cards, 35 Decoration cards, 14 Chance cards, 14 Nook Miles cards, 160 Resource chips, 40 Five-Bell coins, 54 Bell coins, 40 player markers, a numbered die, a Nook’s Cranny die, a label sheet, and game rules. If you land on an island first, you can place your token on it. This costs no money, and you’ll receive the resource from that island. The resources could be fossils, bugs, fish, or fruit. So even if someone else lands on the island after you, you both will receive the resources. This makes it much different than traditional Monopoly, where whoever lands on it gets to buy it, and someone else can’t get it unless they trade it. The Board’s Design

You receive a chance card if you land on the spaces marked with the question mark. Like the original game, they could help or hurt you. Some things are the same as any other version of Monopoly, so I’ll cover this stuff first. Jail, Free Parking, Go to Jail and Chance spaces all make a return in this game. Railway Stations have been stylised to ‘Dodo Airlines’ and largely act the same as other iterations (but they’re free to use and still allow you to use the GO space). There are two dice. However, only one die is used for movement (a standard six-sided die), the other (the Nook’s Cranny die) is used in the game’s shop mechanic – see the next paragraph for a full explanation. Each player will choose a character and place it on the GO space. They will also take the corresponding Player Markers.MONOPOLY TOKENS: Move around the board as one of 4 Animal Crossing New Horizons inspired tokens. Besides the numbered die, there's a Nook's Cranny die that determines what type of resources can be sold The board’s design overall is colorful and vibrant, like the game! You place your large tokens on the board, but they fit perfectly into each space. But not in this state. A Pale Chub as Mayfair? Two properties featuring the Tiger Butterfly? This is clearly a prototype image...

For example, if you have fish resource tiles and you roll a fish, you can sell your fish to the bank. If you don’t have a resource tile that matches your roll, you don’t sell anything. You roll both dice at the start of your turn, determining how many spaces you move and what you can sell to the bank. Finally, I’d like to mention Skill cards. After a single loop of the board players gain a random special ability (out of four options) that can help them win the game. These really help boost the game’s replayability, since each time you play is slightly different based on which Skill you receive. A 2-D Island ParadiseAnyways, this hurts to see, since this proves Animal Crossing is just climbing through the mainstream audience, and New Horizons is the face of the series now. I've completely lost hope in this franchise ever really being good again, due to how well New Horizons itself has sold. This game is an exciting take on the original since you can create teams. For example, you can be team dog or team cat.
