About this deal

It might be difficult to choose the most attractive air fryer when there are so many different manufacturers and versions on the market. It's difficult to determine which retro air fryer is best for you without spending hours reading and further researching. Most come with the usual accessories, to enable you to cook a variety of dishes and different categories of meals.

Swan Retro Set of 3 Canisters – Green Stylish canisters, each with a 1L capacity. They come in a variety of retro shades to compliment your kitchen. The Swan Retro Canisters are ideal for storing tea, coffee and sugar. Features: Materials: Colour coated iron body and lid Colour coated inside and outside Decorative chrome plated lid knob Colour: Green Product dimensions: H:17 x W:11.7 x D:11.5cm The Swan Retro 6L Manual Air Fryer is a single basket air fryer, offering a capacity of 6 litres. I found this made it large enough to cook two portion of chips and six muffins. Measuring 34.6 x 40 x 29.4cm (h x w x l), it doesn't take up much space on the kitchen counter top; plus, for storage purposes, it will easily fit into a cupboard. This air fryer is the perfect addition to your kitchen. If you are looking for a timeless design with contemporary performance, look no further than the Nostalgia CLAFQAQ Classic Retro 7 Quart Air Fryer.Next, I decided to make potato wedges. There was some prep involved here, including patting the wedges dry and coating them in a little oil. I spread them out on the tray as evenly as possible, as I did with the chips, but opted to cook at 200ºC for 20 minutes – which is the temperature I would have set if cooking wedges in the oven, but at half the time. This large 7 quart capacity air fryer cooks a complete meal or serves appetizers for an entire family or a small party, unlike other small-sized retro air fryers that need repeated cooking, ideal for feeding a whole family! In addition, I did notice a faint plastic smell coming from the air fryer during the first few times of cooking in it. Although it isn't mentioned in the booklet, I expect it's the heating element. The smell did disappear after the fourth or fifth use.

It's all a bit of trial and error by the looks of things - Team TechRadar has learned some valuable lessons in our time with air fryers so far. As you've read, we've tried (with success) to cook ice cream. Others on the internet have reporting frying eggs, cooking meats, baking cakes and bread... the list goes on. Are there any reasons to not buy an air fryer?

Your kitchen doesn't need to have an all-retro or period authentic design. A contemporary design with retro accents looks amazingly good. A well-crafted, good looking and digital retro air fryer may fit in very well in any kitchen design.
